What you leave with is something special that is all your own. Whether you are supplementing your child’s art education, or an adult seeking a quality art experience, look no further. Our classes take place in an eclectic loft art studio above Anthony Brunelli Fine Arts Gallery. We are a short walk from a litany of amazing cafes, restaurants, bars, and cultural hot spots.

Alisha Sickler-Brunelli | BFA, MS Ed, NYS Teaching Certification | Co-Owner, ARTifact Ceramic Bar
Alisha has been an artist, art educator, and active member in the Binghamton community for the past 15 years. She found her love for teaching fresh out of college as an art specialist at the former private, progressive Susquehanna School. From here her path led to graduate school, teaching public art education K-12, and teaching private lessons. Her personal work spans from digital mixed media, drawing, installation, and assemblage to commercial graphic design projects. Her deep interest in education science and entrepreneurship informs her work/projects. In addition to having a blast overseeing 'the crazy' at KAPOW, she teaches in the Art & Design Department at Binghamton University. She and her better half, John Brunelli, are co-owners of the soon-to-be-open ARTifact Ceramic Bar. She currently serves on the Binghamton Public Art Advisory Board, as well as The Memory Maker Project Advisory Board. In her off hours she loves reading and drawing with her daughter, August, cooking up a storm for friends and family, and visiting flea markets for the perfect find. (Support local!)
Michelle Schleider | BA Studio Art | Painting & Drawing
Michelle has been drawing and painting since childhood. She has a bachelors in Studio Art and minored in Art History at Providence College. She's expanded her skills in oil painting and charcoal drawing while studying in Florence, Italy, and taking workshops with master artist, David Leffel. She focuses primarily on classical art, working on the figure, portraits, still lifes, and landscapes.
When she's not in her studio or painting on site, she's taking care of her two children and teaching them her skills. Very often they become Michelle's subject matter in paintings, drawings, and fabric floor art photographs.
Her creative husband is a wonderful cook and often provides Michelle with interesting ingredients for many of her still lifes. You can view Michelle's work at www.michelleschleider.com
