JULY 9-13: DRAWING & PAINTING BOOTCAMP (*This camp is now filled)

  • Ages 8-12
  • 9am-12:30pm
  • $240/camper tuition, includes daily snacks, and high quality materials, and professional instruction.
  • Learn the basics, or expand what you already know with fun, skill-building projects, games, and activities in DRAWING (charcoal, graphite, colored pencils, design markers), and PAINTING (acrylic, watercolor, gouache). Create works that feel real, physical, and full of life! From the rules of perspective, to understanding shadow and highlight, to dynamic composition, to color theory, we cover all the bases to give both deep understanding and confidence. Individualized and a lot of fun! Instructor: Alisha Brunelli

  • Ages 5-7
  • 1pm-4:30pm
  • $240/camper tuition, includes daily snacks, and high quality materials, and professional instruction.
  • Students will go on an art adventure, as they choose their favorite animals, from furry and fluffy, to scaly and bumpy. They will explore all the creature features while learning the basics of drawing (variety of materials, works will be framed), and painting on canvas. Fun activities, music, and drawing games will be a part of the fun. Instructor: Carly Barvinchak

JULY 16-20: STORYBOARD & ILLUSTRATION

  • Ages 8-12
  • 9am-12:30pm
  • $240/camper tuition, includes daily snacks, and high quality materials, and professional instruction.
  • Students will brainstorm narratives and stories that will come alive through the process of storyboarding (in the style of animators and film directors) to express motion and time. Students will also choose expressive scenes to illustrate in a variety of styles and materials. From farmer robots, to detective mermaids, to deep sea diving prairie dogs, everything is possible! Instructor: Alisha Brunelli

JULY 16-20: STORYTELLING with ART

  • Ages 5-7
  • 1pm-4:30pm
  • $240/camper tuition, includes daily snacks, and high quality materials, and professional instruction.
  • Students will get to create their own short stories of intrigue and adventure, inspired by the stories found in favorite children's books. They will also develop a variety of characters inspired by the strengths they find in themselves, make common objects come to life, and create hybrid animals! Using drawing, painting, mixed media, and sculpture, students will make their ideas come to life.  Instructor: Carly Barvinchak

JULY 23-27: SCULPTURE & 3-D CHARACTER CREATION (*This camp is now filled)

  • Ages 8-12
  • 9am-12:30pm
  • $240/camper tuition, includes daily snacks, and high quality materials, and professional instruction.
  • Students will brainstorm, sketch, plan, and execute a series of characters of their own imagination and theme! Taking inspiration from a variety of sources, movies, shows, literature, and animations, we will explore what goes into sculpting an expressive 360 degree view. Students will use wire armatures and sculpey clay to create their works (will be oven fired for permanent finish). Final sculptural works will be painted in detail and fashioned for display.   Instructor: Alisha Brunelli

AUGUST 6-10: PHOTOGRAPHY for KIDS

  • Ages 8-12
  • 9am-12:30pm
  • $240/camper tuition, includes daily snacks, and high quality materials, and professional instruction.
  • We will be exploring multiple fun approaches to photography. We will first be delving into tips and tricks to take the best photos possible, using mostly your camera phone and even a paint can! From there, we will be exploring how to use lighting to the best of our advantage. Activities will include composition and perspective, indoor and outdoor photo shoots, utilizing natural and artificial light, pinhole photographs using paint cans and silver gelatin paper, cyanotype prints using found objects on paper, transferring photos onto T-shirts, transferring images onto wood panels, and a framed selfie print and weave! Instructor: Sarah Horan
